Welcome!

I am pleased to be welcoming you to the new school year! I am thrilled to be teaching 1st grade and even more excited to be teaching your child. As you know entering a new classroom can be overwhelming for many students and I want this experience to be as comfortable and welcoming for all involved. My philosophy is that a classroom establishes a safe community where every child is valued; in order to achieve their highest potentials and academic successes. In my classroom, academic success is not just about the grades but also about students’ full engagement and their ability to show persistent efforts.

My goal as an educator this year is to frequently provide updates and newsletters of all the exciting events and lessons we plan to learn this year. Any changes to the schedule or to the homework assignments will always be available by newsletters, and website updates. I hope as parents you enjoy the work and the pride every student feels when learning as I do, and I hope we can make this a wonderful year.
